In the Name of God Amen I Abigall Knight of the Cyty of glouc[ester] spinster
being sicke & weak in Body, but of a good & p[er]fect memory for .......... I humbly
thank my gracious Lord god for his mercy? ..... me therin Do make & ordeyne this
my last will & Testament in maner & form followinge

Imprimus I geve & bequeath
my soule nto Almightty God my Creator who gave it me, confidently assuringe my
self of Eternal Salvation only bythe merettes death & passion of my Lord & Saviour Jessus
Christ, And my body to the Earth from whence it came And for my wordly goods
I give & bequethe in maner and forme followinge
It[e]m I geve & bequethe unto my brother
Nathaniell Knight of the City of glouc[ester] Chandler the some of five pounds of current
english money.

It[e]m I geve & bequeth unto my brother Robert Knight of the same cyty
of glouc[ester] the some of five pounds of current english money.

It[e]m I geve & bequeth unto
Josiasmy brother Josias Knight of F........ in the County of glouc[ester] Clothier the some
of five pounds of current english money

It[e]m I geve & bequeth unto my kinsman and
godsonne Nathaniell Knight one of the sonnes of my brother Samuell Knight the some
of five pounds

It[e]m I geve & bequeth unto Hephsibah Wood my kinswoman &
god daughter one of her daughters of George Wood my brother in lawe the some of
five pounds of current english money

It[e]m I geve & bequeth unto my kinswoman & god
daughter Abigail Nurth one of the daughters of Joseph Nurth my brother in law the some
of Tenne pounds of current english money

It[e]m I geve and bequeth unto my brother in lawe
Dennis Wise? of the Cyty of glouc[ester] & to my sister Hephsibah his wief in full ............
& satisfaction of their Care Charge ............ & obligation w[i]th me & depended
uppon me & by my means ...............................the some of Twenty pounds of current
english money & my best handcherker

Wise the daughter of my said brother in lawe Dennis Wise my best stuff gowne?

It[e]m I geve and bequeth unto Bridgett [blank] on other of the now servant
mayds unto her .... Mr Mewes, my cl[oth] peticoate <sup?which is</sup> now remayning at the s[ai]d Mr Mewes house, and
also a ........ smock & one of my little handkerchers

All the rest of goods cattles and
chattels whatsoever, my debts beinge payd & my funerall expense dicharged I fulley
geve & bequeth unto my brother in lawe Joseph Nurth of Estington in the County of
glouc[ester] yeoman & unto my sister Deborah his wief whom I do make & ordeyne to be the
sole Executors of this my Last will & Testament, and I do also further ordeyne appoint
& my will & meaninge is that all my before mentioned guyfts & bequests shallbe by
my s[ai]d Executors & payd & discharged wi[th[in fower months after my decease And I do also
further nominate & appoint my said ...................... Dennis Wise & my s[aid] brother
Samuel Knight to be the ovetseers of this my last will & Testament requesting them that
they will Carefully be ayding & assisting unto my said Executors that this my Last will&
Testament may be p[er]formed accordinge to my true intent & meaninge herin & for their
paynes herein I do geve & bequest unto each of them two shillings & six pence to .... them
......... In witness whereof I have? hereunto sett both my seale & marke the sixth
day of Aprill in the xiij year of the Reign of o[ur] soveraign lord Charles by the grace
of god King of England Scotland FRance & Ireland Defender of the faith 1637
